The site visits
The site visits offers a first-hand look at some of the key issues shaping Denmark’s non-profit housing sector today. Offering two different perspectives on how housing organisations are responding to social, physical and demographic challenges – and developing solutions that strengthen homes and local communities. All participants will visit both Sundbo and Urbanplanen,
Sandwiches, snacks and water will be provided on the buses during the tour.

New Housing Solutions for an Ageing Population
An example of a modern non-profit senior co-housing community, where homes, shared facilities and social activities are designed to support an active and independent life as residents grow older. The visit explores how housing can respond to demographic change and help meet the needs of a growing older population across the Nordic countries.
Urban-planen
From a vulnerable housing area to a stronger community
An insight into the long-term transformation of Urbanplanen, where physical improvements, social initiatives and strong local partnerships go hand in hand. The visit explores how the area is becoming a safer and more attractive place to live, while targeted efforts strengthen opportunities for children and young people through education, leisure activities, employment and local communities.
