THE NBO CONFERENCE 2026

Uncertainty, crises and rapid change have become the new normal. This year’s NBO Conference explores housing development at a time when the Nordic region is ageing, the world is growing more unpredictable, and expectations of construction and leadership continue to rise.

The conference takes place in Kødbyen – Copenhagen’s Meatpacking District – a raw, functional urban area that now serves as a backdrop for new ways of thinking about production, city life and community.

Expect “brain food”: sharp societal insights, Nordic perspectives and leadership reflections that challenge conventional thinking. We connect demography, climate, geopolitics and construction to what it ultimately comes down to—decisions, responsibility and delivery.

The conference is primarily intended for NBO member organisations; however, a limited number of places may be available to external participants.

Date: October 1 - 2, 2026

Venue: Scandic Kødbyen, Skelbækgade 3A, 1717 Copenhagen (located in the vibrant Vesterbro district, close to public transport and the city centre).
