Housing Nordic - NBO - was formed in 1950. Its members are eight cooperative and public housing associations in Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden. 

Our Mission

Nordic cooperative and public housing association (NBO) was founded in 1950. The purpose is to promote contact between affiliated organizations for the exchange of knowledge and the coordination of common interests. NBO members together represent nearly 2.5 million homes.

NBO is constituted by one or more member organizations in Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden. The members are represented by one or two people in the board. The Board, the chairman and the secretariat is elected at the biennial NBO Conference. The board convene three times annually.

Every other year NBO organizes a biennial conference for member organizations and their respective members. The conference is a forum for sharing knowledge, networking and setting joint agendas. It is also time and place for honouring some of the bright and intelligent housing development, that takes place in our sector.

The next biennial conference in 2026 will take place in Copenhagen.
